Like Mr. Aldrin, they bear names from long ago that have made a collective return to the limelight. Like Mr. Aldrin, they are American heroes with unparalleled legacies reaching across decades. And like Mr. Aldrin, they have Ph.Ds in kicking ass.
Their makers may have proven that they have the financial acumen of a blind yak. However, we submit these pony car icons as proof that the home team can extract their craniums from their nether regions once in awhile and knock the cover off the ball.

just a full second slower huh lol you obviously don’t have any idea what it takes to get car down to by an entire second do you? the srt8 is heavy peice of shit! even though the hp is more similar to the camaro it still out weighs and out prices the camaro therefore sorry for ya but the camaro is still the winner
you can do your own comparison type challenger srt8 vs. gt500 and see the 0-60 of the srt8 and you will see that it is slower than that of the camaro

1) I´ve seen a run of the new SRT8, of the new SS CAMARO and the old SHELBY GT 500
the old SHELBY GT 500 can run 12.2 seconds on street tires completely stock.
the next SHELBY will be able to run mid 11-low 12 seconds seconds
the new SS CAMARO can´t run faster than 13.5 seconds definetely.
I´ve seen a run and couple of tests … the best time is definetely 13.5 seconds.
and the SRT8 is a bit slower also cuz there is more weight with the same figure of Hp.

the GT Mustang with 300Hp can run 13.5 seconds and the camaro needs 126 more Hp just to be 0.5s faster :’-D

and even a 5.0 Mustang could rape the new Camaro easily.
just build a 347Stroker and the 5.0 will run low 12 seconds with just around 400rwhp.
and isnt it even funny that a heavy SHELBY GT 500 with 500Hp can keep up easily with an light 500Hp Z06 ?
on most track vids the SHELBY even wins against the Z06 so I´d think about the “chevy power”.

please show me a proffessional comparison by motor trend,car & driver,edmunds,road and track, etc. or any proff. im forgetting that compares the z06 and the gt500 and the gt500 even comes close to winning. it doesnt stand a chance just look at the numbers they are verry self explanatory!
